Sutton Coating - Staff

A.H. “Ace” Sutton, Jr. has managed a surface preparation and coatings business and Sutton Interests since 1973.  He is an industrialist of considerable experience, which includes agribusiness, heavy commercial industrial equipment, and industrial services for surface preparations and coatings.

 

Sutton grew up in the West, and the pioneer work ethic and the Great Depression influenced his management style.  He started his business career in 1945 after completing his military service.  His amalgamated industrial background and early childhood experiences evolved into a vigilant dedication to quality service and workmanship combined with a cost-effective operation.  His experience and management style assisted the company in successful navigation through boom times as well as through the hostile regional economic conditions of the past decade.  He accomplished this while sustaining a stable, reliable credit and business reputation.
Sutton’s son, A.H. “Buck” Sutton III joined his father’s company in October of 2006, bringing with him 30 years of experience in the industrial commercial construction industry. 
Together the Sutton’s presently maintain a smooth-operating plant through a select group of professionally trained, skilled administrative and supervisory staff.

 

 

Sutton Coating - Management Personnel

Director of Marketing
Kaye Sutton has been associated with commercial surface preparation and coatings industry since the 80s.  She brings with her a background in marketing for the commercial construction industry as well as the Health Safety and Environment field.  Kaye is a strong proponent of safety, and works to insure that Sutton Coating is up to date with the latest safety requirements for the industrial coating industry.  Kaye also lends her organizational expertise to the arena of coordinating special projects as dictated by demand. Kaye, also an accomplished writer, has been published in publications such as ABODE Magazine, Construction Daily, The Houston Press, The Houston Chronicle and UNITS Magazine, among others. She has been a resident of the Houston metropolitan area for over 30 years.

Operations Director
Shawn Shah received his Electrical and Mechanical Engineering degrees from Maharaja Sayagirao University in Baroda, India in 1982.  He has lived and worked in the United States since 1983, and lives with his family in Houston.  He has received customer relations awards for his outstanding work with his customers.  His good rapport with his customers allows him to help them with their project estimation requirements. His friendly style complements his work with corporate customers as he assists with bid preparation and pricing information.  His attention to customer specifications and requirements is actively translated to technical product orders.  He carefully monitors the quality control procedures he assisted in designing.  Shawn has been a team member of Sutton Coating for almost 20 years.

Customer Service Director
Janet Moore has been in the industrial paint industry for several years. Her proficiency in Quick Books insures that all of Sutton Coating's financial reporting requirements are met. Her customer service background also serves her well in her role with Sutton Coating. Janet's endearing phone personality and attention given to customers and vendors alike makes her a very important part of the Sutton Coating Team.

 

Plant Foreman
Robert Montemayor Sr. has been serving the industrial paint industry for over 20 years. His firm, but kind management style insures that production schedules are met according to the customer's wishes. Robert's wealth of knowledge regarding paint systems and individual blast requirements compliments his role as inspector. Robert takes the time to insure that customers are informed of the progression of their work, and interacts with many levels of personnel and clients to accomplish the demands of his position.
